Hi! I’m Nathalie,

I’ve been working in the digital media space in fintech and healthtech, based in Austin, TX. Through my career journey, I’ve learned a lot through human-centered design.

I look to make a leap into UX design to create designs that have a positive impact for people.

My journey to UX had a lot of twist and turns, but as someone who grew up alongside the start of social media I found interest in being able to design and code with simple html and css from a young age. When I attended college, I studied journalism because I loved learning about the world through human narratives. This was where I was able to hone in storytelling in the digital space.

My first glimpse into the world of design was when I worked in sales and customer service. Daily as I heard customers’ challenges and pain points, made me proactive to taking the data to the product team to help implement changes. My ability to connect and empathize, (with a bit of tenacity) meant I had the ability to make an impact that was engaging and accessible for them.

During my transition to UX, I learned web design and accessibility and have been in fintech and healthtech companies the past seven years. Throughout my professional experience I’ve exhibited skills in problem solving and collaboration, while always putting people first. On top of that, I am able to combine the creative and analytical parts of my brain to design experiences that are useful and meaningful. These experiences peak my curiosity to expand my knowledge, and bridge the gap of great design and helping people.

Beyond design, I enjoy taking long runs as I explore new parks in my town, drinking espresso shots with my sugar, and trying out new restaurants popping in Austin every other week.
